Tusekile Asajile Mwakalundwa
Tusekile Asajile Mwakalundwa is the visionary Founder and CEO of Akili Huru Organisation, a non-profit dedicated to promoting mental health for youths, children and adolescents. A passionate advocate for accessible, quality mental health care, Tusekile brings a unique blend of legal and mental health expertise to her work. She is a distinguished Fulbright Scholar, holds an MSc in Mental Health, Ethics, and Law from King’s College London, and an LLM in Human Rights Law from Tumaini University Makumira (TUMA). A trained attorney with a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Education (PGDLE) from the Law School of Tanzania, Tusekile is also a Mandela Washington Fellow and a Chevening Scholar.
Her experience spans international organizations like the United Nations Dispute Tribunal and Rustic Pathways Inc., as well as lecturing at Tumaini University Makumira. Tusekile leverages her diverse background to bridge the gap between research and practice, fostering partnerships and advocating for impactful mental health policies in Tanzania and globally. She is deeply committed to mentoring teenagers, empowering them to prioritize their mental well-being and building resilience.
