Mental Health Program Director & Psychologist
Farissa is a skilled counselling psychologist specializing in child and adolescent
therapy. As a trained Play Therapist, she helps young clients express emotions and
overcome challenges through creative therapeutic techniques.
Farissa earned her Diploma and Degree in Counselling Psychology from Tangaza
University College, Kenya, completing her studies in October 2023. Her diverse
practicum experiences include working with Gertrude’s Children Hospital, The
Karen Hospital, Hope Children’s Centre, Rasul Al Akram Academy, and Seliani
Hospital. She also has expertise supporting children with learning difficulties,
emotional challenges, and behavioral issues.
Alongside play therapy, Farissa practices art therapy, group counselling, and
individual counselling, providing a safe and supportive space for her clients’ growth.
Fluent in English and Kiswahili, she is recognized for her leadership skills, critical
thinking, and ability to connect effectively as a communicator, debate coach, and
public speaker.
Farissa is a proud member of the Tanzania Psychology Association (TAPA) and
enjoys hobbies such as coaching debates, listening to music, and playing basketball.
Her passion for helping children shine through her engaging approach, making her
a trusted advocate for their well-being.
